Con lo Screen transfer il logo viene prima stampato su una carta speciale a base di silicone invece che direttamente sull'articolo. I colori sono stampati uno per uno, su una base bianca. Dopo ogni stampa, il logo passa attraverso un tunnel di asciugatura. Dopo che tutti i colori sono stati stampati, viene aggiunto uno strato di colla nella stessa forma del logo e viene applicata una polvere adesiva. Con l'uso di una pressa termica il trasferimento sarà applicato all'articolo. Il calore renderà la colla liquida e la pressione causerà una buona adesione sull'articolo. La carta viene poi rimossa e il logo rimarrà sull'articolo.
Se la superficie di stampa è piatta, tutti gli articoli possono essere stampati.
