In this FAQ overview, we would like to answer some of the most frequently asked questions about midocean as the sustainable choice.
For each item in our collection, we create a declaration of sustainability. In this declaration we highlight details concerning material content, recyclability, resource trademarks e.g., of the item.
For many items these declarations are already available and by the end of 2022, you will find these declarations for our entire collection on our webshop. If you need a declaration and it is not yet visible in the webshop, please ask your sales contact.
We realise that we can improve both the use and consumption of our packaging. That is why we are already taking steps in the right direction. With the future in mind we are using as little plastic as possible with our packaging.
In order to make our packaging more sustainable, we always weigh the impact on the environment against the transport of empty space. For example, we are currently looking into alternatives to the filling material in our packaging for orders. Not only this, we are also looking at the size of boxes in order to pack and transport the product in a more appropriate way, reducing the transport of empty space overall.
When plastic still has to be used (for hygienic or transport reasons), we reuse as many existing packaging materials as possible and/or try to find a more sustainable alternative.
