Avec le transfert sérigraphique, le logo est d'abord imprimé sur un papier spécial à base de silicone au lieu d'être imprimé directement sur l'article. Les couleurs sont imprimées une par une, sur une base blanche. Après chaque impression, elle passe dans un tunnel de séchage. Une fois toutes les couleurs imprimées, on ajoute une couche de colle de la même forme que le logo et on applique une poudre adhésive. À l'aide d'une presse à chaud, le transfert sera appliqué sur l'article. La chaleur va rendre la colle liquide et la pression va permettre une bonne adhésion sur l'article. Le papier est ensuite retiré et le logo reste sur l'article.
Si la surface d'impression est plate, tous les articles peuvent être imprimés.
